greetings all blog followers and sorry for not updating sooner. access to wifi not so
easy to come by. well long flight from USA but made it unscathed. of course, was on decongestant meds the entire time but may have been fortunate it kept me asleep for most of the flight and the 15 hrs passed relatively quickly. the layover in dallas was interesting to say the least. we checked into the airport lounge club had a relax but because of myra's passport with maiden name and ticket in married name (ok my fault I should have checked this previous) we could only book from rdu to dallas and then go to qantas counter in dal t redo the ticket after having called lafayette la for a copy of marriage license faxed. Had to exit security get baggage and then wait for qantas to reopen to recheck luggage and rebook with marriage license. so never did get out to grapevine for frolicking but just as well. went back to airport lounge and had a good rest and proper beverage.
arrived in brisbane approx. 5am wed morning and met Margery easily at curbside. was fantastic to see her looking so well and sooo aussie!!! her driving on the right side (and left sid of road) is quite good! we drove up to peregian area and immediately went to the beach and to emu mountain for a good hike up the mountain. Pretty amazing scenery, vegetation and wildlife unlike any other seen anywhere in the world. more news later as this computer I am using is driving me crazy. will tell you soon about peregian, noosa, drive up to fraser island and rainbow beach....unbelievable is the word I will leave you with...or mesmerizing!!
